LOL
Potentially a great example of “meaning=use” names are perhaps more subject to social trends than any other type of noun… and what seems ridiculous or odd to us now may (and likely in some cases will) change in years to come.
A simple glance at popular boys and girls names (in the english speaking nations) will demonstrate an extraordinary shift!
Still aside from the social inconvenience placed upon the child that is given an extraordinary name - it seems a little draconian (and fascist) to place legal restrictions on something that is essentially a private and personal matter.
(Subnote in UK law one may legally use any name one likes except for those required for statutory purposes - and even that may be changed within certain legally defined parameters).
(Sub-subnote pity those who are ‘given’ “unfortunate” names as opposed those who I feel should ahve no legal restriction (i.e. those who choose to change their name to whatever!)
